Server
Swordfish Cocktail Club is seeking candidates for the position of Server. The Server's primary responsibility is to provide positive interactions while serving guests in a professional manner. Servers are expected to be attentive to guest’s needs, and make them feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed at all times. Servers enhance the guest experience by assisting in the selection, discovery, and delivery of products they will most enjoy. This includes the ability to accurately and concisely describe menu items, provide recommendations, read the atmosphere, serve as a knowledgable resource, and create a dining experience tailored to each guest.
Successful Servers will provide attentive and conscientious service in a gracious manner, and are required to gain extensive knowledge of our menus, products, and procedures. Applicants should have particularly strong communication skills and an affinity for acquiring and applying knowledge. No experience is necessary.
Server Responsibilities:
Cleaning and sanitation.
Setup and breakdown of table settings, bathrooms, linens, serviceware and glassware.
Welcoming guests, presenting menus, suggesting products, and assisting in selections.
Providing table service, including bottle opening & pouring, table clearing, and tray service.
Using the Point of Sale system, including order placing, timing, and cash handling.
Coordinating with the Host to effectively accommodate guests.
Knowledge of all menu items and service procedures, including ingredients, tasting notes, and profiles.
Serving guests in an anticipatory and intuitive manner.
Applicants should be able to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position. These include walking, standing, and lifting heavy objects for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be 21+.
Starting pay is $8.00/hr plus tip share.
